Somebody PLEASE teach this kid to eat?

Ugh! So speech therapy is beginning to be a bust after all. To be fair, he is sucking in in this picture, we're really not starving the poor kid. My motherly instincts tell me something is mechanically wrong with his mouth or swallowing process. Before, he would just gag on food so hard that he would throw up; now he just plain refuses to eat. We can get some small amounts of select pureed fruits in him - but not much. Since he has officially lost weight since a month ago (he was sick for a couple weeks with that nasty flu) we are now waiting for referrals from his pediatrician for a gastrointestinal specialist, otolaryngologist, and nutritionist.

Any ideas welcome and appreciated!

Home for the Holidays

We once again had the wonderful opportunity to fly home for the holidays. Here are the highlights:

Wall Family Christmas Party

Aunt Stephanie put him in Great Grandma's baby carriage...

...and what else would he sit still for if not a phone?

Like father, like son...tee hee hee...

Enjoying his new toy from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Wall

Need I really say anything about this picture? Just too stinkin adorable.

Christmas Morning

Hanging out with Uncle Jake and Pocoyo

I took a lot less pictures than I wanted, because we did a lot less than we wanted. C.J. and Momma got that nasty flu bug starting on Christmas night. Momma's led to a sinus infection and C.J.'s to an ear infection. Here we are at the ER- because of Murphy's law. If the one-year-old is going to get an ear infection/high fever, you find out late on a Sunday night.

Luckily, we cleared up enough for the flight home, and just in the nick of time! Thank goodness Daddy didn't get sick; his new internship in Tacoma started the next day after we got home.
We can't wait to move back in March for his internship at McKay-Dee!
